Zuraimy bin Musa was accused of sharing in the common intention of his co-accused, Moad Fadzir Bin Mustaffa, to traffic four bundles of heroin. He was acquitted of drug trafficking and convicted on a lesser charge of abetment of drug possession.
In Jumaat bin Mohamed Sayed & Ors v AG [2025] SGCA 40, five judges of the Court of Appeal upheld the constitutionality of presumptions in the Misuse of Drugs Act placing an evidential burden of proof on the accused.
